Abito teatrale ‘Marily’

November 2021

Back to the Theatre, I am so delighted! Because of my dearest Ariel and Marily Santoro who, crossing paths in the streets of Modena, inspired me to return to the joys of entertainment. And indeed through this artist, whom I hold dear, in the role of Aida.

I am sitting in the audience of the Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni, just a few seats away from where I was during a concert back in October 2018, when I had been involved in the making of the soprano's stage costume. But oh, how different my spirit is today, after all I have been through . Even clearer and more dedicated, though, is my passion to bring together all my talents, experience and new opportunities aiming at empowering people, helping a person to develop in glow and radiance.

So, how could I not recall now, while admiring Aida's brilliantly delicate mauve pink dress, the episode in the history of Marily's costumes in which we first met? Here below, if you'd like, is the story to which all the pics in this post pertain.

Description

September 2018

A young woman walks into my atelier: at the time "LiOr Designs" was situated in the historic centre of Modena, around the corner from Piazza Roma, in Via Fonteraso.

Over the moon, I say yes, of course! And we sit down to outline the style and model that Marily Santoro will wear.

Only, I struggle to interpret her request. (I think my own personal suffering was getting the better of me).

And this is where Irene Angelucci comes in. My daughter was spending some time in Modena after graduating in Drama from the University of West London, and she was actively collaborating with her inventive resourcefulness in my workshop. B "H, a suitable environment for a young graduate from the Liceo Artistico Brera in Milan.

Discreetly noticing the situation, Irene pitches to Marily and they quickly find an understanding: Angel , this is Irene's label that I applied onto the dress, designed it in the most extraordinary details - please note in the photos the cascade of light on the front and the drop of silver on the train - selecting the fabric and the rebrodê lace for the decorations and the shoulder cape.

This is how this garment was born. What a joy to be in the audience that night, and being singled out as its co-creator!
